Whispers of the Forgotten episode 8

Lerato saw on the news that Thabiso and Mali were the ones who killed her friend and were out on bail. The news made her feel bad. She met with Thabiso at the restaurant. “My dear, tomorrow I’m going to Mangaung to look for a job,” said Lerato, staring at Thabiso. Lerato didn't want to tell Thabiso that she was breaking up with him. “Hey, my dear! I just got out of prison, and suddenly you are leaving?” Thabiso asked. “I’ve been looking for a job for a long time, so I thought it would be good for me to take it,” said Lerato. “Don’t worry, my dear, I’ll come visit you.”

“No, I don’t want to because I won't have time,” said Lerato. “What have I done?” Thabiso asked.

“I don’t trust you anymore. I saw in the news what you did with Mali,” said Lerato. Thabiso was surprised. “My dear, you saw that the evidence was not enough, which shows it wasn’t us,” said Thabiso.

“You forget that I know the law. I don’t want to hear anything from you. I told you to change your behaviour,” said Lerato. “My dear, you can't do this to me,” said Thabiso, holding Lerato’s hand. Lerato stood up and left. Thabiso heard. “If there is anyone who is in love with you, all hell will break loose,” said Thabiso, wiping away tears. Thabiso and Mali lost their jobs.

Mali returned to her home in Matwabeng, and his mother was angry with what he had done. “What exactly got into you?” Madimakatso asked Mali’s mother. “Mama, Thabiso was the one who tricked me,” Mali said, shrugging. “I don’t want to hear anything from you. I didn’t raise a murderer,” said Mmadimakatso. “That man pointed a gun at me, he said if I didn’t help him, he would shoot me,” said Mali. “I raised you to be a good person, and you have betrayed me. I don’t know how I can trust you,” said Mmadimakatso, wiping away tears. “I am determined to be good, and I will do anything you want me to do,” said Mali. Mmadimakatso got angry and went to her bedroom.

Often, as humans, we need to examine our lives and avoid actions that could lead us into trouble. Thabiso was thinking hard about Lerato. Thabiso found out that Lerato was living with someone who was her uncle, but he didn't know that he was her uncle because Lerato didn't tell Thabiso about him. Thabiso only knew her mother. “My child, I hope you broke up with that criminal,” said Thabo, who is her uncle. “Uncle, I don't know why Thabiso did such a thing,” said Lerato. “I don't want to hear anything about that boy,” said Thabo. “I have decided to break up with him; he won't bother me again.”

“That is the spirit, my niece, I don't want you to be a victim,” said Thabo. “No, I don't judge people,” said Lerato, laughing. “I don’t want to see you in trouble, you’re my nephew, and I have to protect you.”

“You’re a precious uncle,” Lerato smiled. Thabiso went to where Lerato was living and peered out the window, where he saw Thabo and Lerato. Lerato and her uncle joked and had a good time.

Thabiso arrived home angry and tried to call Lerato, but he couldn't reach her. “Did that woman break up with me?” Thabiso asked. “The truth will come out. If you are in love with that person, you will know me.” Thabiso told himself that he would win Lerato's heart back.
