Moonlight

Silver light a gentle glow, Illuminates the night's dark shore, A beacon in the darkness shines, Guiding dreams, and peaceful signs. The moon's soft rays upon my face, Bring calm to a busy place, The world is hushed, in quiet sleep As lunar magic starts to creep. In this pale light, I find my peace, A sense of calm, my worries cease, The moon's gentle voice whispers low, Of secrets kept and mysteries to know. Let the moon's soft light guide me through, The darkness and the night anew, And in its gentle, silvery glow, May I find peace,  and a sense of flow. ©Author Brian Makara, 2025.

Jabana must Fall Episode 3

Created by: Mosimanegape Jabana. Written by: Brian Makara. The sprawling gates of the presidential palace loomed before President Marry as her convoy pulled into the grand courtyard. The sun had dipped below the horizon, leaving a soft twilight glow over Makhubung. Soldiers stood rigid along the palace walls, their expressions stoic and unreadable. Marry stepped out of her car, her tailored navy-blue suit immaculate, her posture exuding confidence. She glanced at the palace, its marble columns gleaming in the dim light, and squared her shoulders. This wasn’t just a meeting, it was a confrontation with the very embodiment of the inequality she had spent her life fighting against. Chief Bethel appeared at the palace doors, his face a mixture of relief and unease.  “Madam President,” he greeted, bowing slightly. “Thank you for agreeing to meet.” “Lead the way,” Marry replied curtly, her tone firm. As they walked through the echoing halls of the palace, Marry’s sharp eyes took in every...

Jabana Must Fall Episode 2

Created by: Mosimanegape Jabana.  Written by: Brian Makara.  The unrest in Makhubung had transformed the once-bustling town into a battleground of ideals. Streets that were once filled with vendors selling fruits and crafts now echoed with chants and cries for equality. Smoke from burning tires coiled into the sky, and the rhythmic pounding of protest drums became a constant backdrop. President Jabana watched it all unfold from the safety of his palace balcony, his arms crossed and his expression a mixture of disdain and frustration. The chants of the protesters reached his ears, faint but unmistakable. “Jabana must go! Equality now!” Behind him, Chief Bethel approached cautiously. “Your Excellency,” he began, his voice low,  “the situation is escalating. Police forces are struggling to contain the crowds. Reports indicate that demonstrations have spread to neighboring towns.” Jabana didn’t turn around. Instead, he clenched his jaw, his eyes fixed on the horizon. “Let the...

As I look in the sky

As I look in the sky,  My heart yearns for peace,  As I look in the sky,  I bow my head and cry.  The world is full of vultures,  Their tongue are like blades,  The blades waiting to cut you,  To cut you till you gasps for air.  As I kneel down my mouth is shut,  There is no way to talk,  There is no way to say a word,  Everyone is looking down on you.  The world is full of monsters,  The monsters that prey for food,  The monsters that waiting to finish you,  The world seek peace and love.  ©Author Brian Makara.

Jabana must Fall Episode 1

Written by Brian Makara. Created by Mr Mosimanegape Jabana. The sweltering afternoon sun cast a golden haze over Makhubung Stadium. Rows of worn metal seats shimmered under the heat, as thousands of citizens packed the arena. Men in dusty overalls, women with children perched on their hips, and students in faded uniforms all gathered, their faces a mixture of anticipation and unease. Fans of Jabana kept singing and some had posters written Education for all and some written Create new jobs. Everyone is waiting for the speech from the president and they longed that the Makubung country would change so that everyone would benefit. People were wondering what President Jabana wanted to talk about, their eyes were out on their socket and ttheir ear waiting to hear the good presentation from the president.  At the center of the stadium stood a grand stage, draped in the national colors of gold and emerald green. The flag of Makhubung waved sluggishly in the breeze. On the stage, Chief Be...
