Operational Shadowfall Fiction story

 The sun had barely set on the tumultuous streets of Karination Park, casting a golden glow over the chaos. Colonel Thabo Mokoena, a seasoned South African military officer, crouched behind a crumbling wall, his eyes locked on the besieged parliament building. The air was thick with tension, the smell of smoke and tear gas hanging heavy. "Echo-1, this is Tango-3. We've got movement on the north perimeter," crackled the radio in Thabo's ear.   Teboho was cooking when he heard his phone ringing, as it so often did.  “Hello Thabo, what’s the problem with you?” asked Teboho, and sat down. “Have you heard, my friend? The police have started: tomorrow morning they will demolish the shacks. The municipality instructed them to evict us,” said Thabo. This affected Teboho badly.
