River's Flow

-

The river's flow, feeling its sound,

A winding path, through life's wild dream,

The water's voice, a soothing sound,

A constant change, in a world around.


The river's current, a force so strong,

As my heart bond with it and see light,

The ripples spread, a reflection wide,

A mirror to life, where moments reside.


In this river's flow, I find my peace,

A sense of movement, through life's busy day,

The water's flow, a wisdom true,

A reminder to adapt, and see things anew.


The river's journey where I met her,

A gentle soul with special smile,

She's a symbol of life, her voice is sweet,

I see a flame of love through her.

  The day was fun and hot, and when James went shopping, he met Precious. Problems were spreading all over the world, but for Lerato , a humble and compassionate person, the problems were at home. “Mama, I don’t like what’s happening here anymore,” Lerato said, her voice trembling. “My father has become a monster; we always live in tears.” Lerato sobbed into her mother's shoulder. Her mother, Mmalerato , looked utterly drained. “This is not a life, my child. I need you to focus on your education and forget about your father,” Mmalerato said, holding her daughter tightly. Just as they were talking, her husband, Thabiso , stumbled into the room. He reeked of alcohol. “Mmalerato?” He slurred. Mmathabo sat quietly in the kitchen, a cup of tea warming her trembling hands. Her thoughts were heavy, her heart restless as she wondered what was going on in the world. Life had become so unpredictable. While she was lost in thought, her father, Mohau, walked in and noticed the sadness on her face. “My child, why are you so sad?” Mohau asked gently. Mmathabo sighed deeply before answering. “I have bad news. Palesa and the baby have been taken to the provincial hospital. The doctors say the child is not in a good condition.” Mohau moved closer to her. “My child, everything will be fine.
