LADYBRAND

I saw the beauty of a small, quiet town,
Nestled gently in the mountains' embrace.
A hidden gem of wonder and renown,
A special place, filled with timeless grace.

Ladybrand, my cherished little home,
A cradle of diverse and brilliant dreams.
A town that raised its heroes, proud and known,
Like Lefa Tsutsulupa, Star Chalale lighting streams.

I watched the games unfold beneath the skies,
Sports as dazzling as the evening stars,
Their shining glow a joy before my eyes,
Uniting hearts from near and far.

I turned my gaze toward the northern well,
Where cold waters mark traditions deep.
It’s Grandma Mantsopa’s tale we tell,
Her legacy a treasure we still keep.

To the south, sweet birds sang melodies,
Their songs of life spread through the air.
We gathered, feasted, lived in harmony,
And Little Rock stood steadfast, always there.
