FREEDOM's DAWN

In South Africa's vibrant land,
A day of liberation, a story to stand.
April 27th, a moment in time,
When freedom's chains were broken, and hopes did shine.

From apartheid's shadows to democracy's light,
The nation celebrated, through day and night.
The struggle's end, a new path laid,
For all South Africans, a brighter shade.

With jubilation and joy, they danced and sang,
Their voices echoing, a freedom anthem rang.
A chapter closed, a new one began,
For the Rainbow Nation, a future to plan.

Today, we reflect on the journey so far,
The progress made, the challenges we are.
Still striving for equality, justice, and peace,
For all citizens, a better life to release.

Freedom Day's spirit, a flame that burns bright,
Guiding us forward, through morning's light.
A celebration of the human spirit's might,
In South Africa's story, a beacon shines tonight.

  The day was fun and hot, and when James went shopping, he met Precious. A Hard Life

Problems were spreading all over the world, but for Lerato , a humble and compassionate person, the problems were at home. “Mama, I don’t like what’s happening here anymore,” Lerato said, her voice trembling. “My father has become a monster; we always live in tears.” Lerato sobbed into her mother's shoulder. Her mother, Mmalerato , looked utterly drained. “This is not a life, my child. I need you to focus on your education and forget about your father,” Mmalerato said, holding her daughter tightly. Just as they were talking, her husband, Thabiso , stumbled into the room. He reeked of alcohol. “Mmalerato?” He slurred. Mmathabo sat quietly in the kitchen, a cup of tea warming her trembling hands. Her thoughts were heavy, her heart restless as she wondered what was going on in the world. Life had become so unpredictable. While she was lost in thought, her father, Mohau, walked in and noticed the sadness on her face. “My child, why are you so sad?” Mohau asked gently. Mmathabo sighed deeply before answering. “I have bad news. Palesa and the baby have been taken to the provincial hospital. The doctors say the child is not in a good condition.” Mohau moved closer to her. “My child, everything will be fine. We need to have faith,” he said, placing a comforting hand on her shoulder. “I hope so,” Mmathabo whispered. “I pray my granddaughter and her baby will be safe.” “That is the spirit,” Mohau replied softly. “We must speak life, not fear.
