The Search for My Father
You looked at me on the ground, saw an enemy,
Judged by the world’s cruel tendency.
Their behavior was harsh, their hearts turned cold,
I was lost, unsure, with no hand to hold.
Oh! Sorrows wrapped me in their brick-like weight,
They abandoned me, leaving me to fate.
My father’s absence became my pain,
You, my father, left me to suffer in vain.
Yet, I caught the scent of hope’s embrace,
Dreamed of finding my father’s face.
I rejoiced at the thought, my heart took flight,
For in him, I sought the guiding light.
I found my father, and joy filled my soul,
A bond restored, a heart made whole.
You, my father, brought peace anew,
In acceptance, love and hope grew.
The work of forgiveness touched my core,
In its grace, my heart soared once more.
The past was healed, the pain erased,
And in my father’s presence, joy was traced.
