Drugs
DRUGS
Why can't you grant yourself forgiveness?
You tainted the minds of our youth,
Why can't you grant yourself forgiveness?
You’re a murderer, extinguishing our future's truth.
O, you poison, seeping through veins,
Parents weep in shared sorrow's reigns,
What mercy have you shown, none but pain?
For our nation's dreams, you've sown disdain.
Earth longs for shape, for futures bright,
But you drugs cling to shadows, shun the light,
You crave dominion in you might,
Yet our visions fade, drowned in night.
No! Our hopes shattered in despair,
Echoes of hunger of souls laid bare,
Mercy, where? Your grip unfair,
In your cruel hands, dreams tear.
You the merciless, where's your grace?
From graves, youth bloom, in a tragic chase,
Your allure brings tears a bitter embrace,
Peace you promise, yet destruction you embrace.
You're a ravenous beast without reprieve,
Devouring innocence without a need to grieve,
You drugs, you have destroyed youth’s future,
You drugs, you are merciless and cruel.
